Songs from the Second Floor

Last month I have started course of Moving Images at Royal Academy of Art in The Hague and after 3 weeks we made discussion about several movies and one of them was Songs from the Second Floor directed by Roy Andersson and it is based on the poems of Caesar Vallejo.Movie is constructed from several parts, and each part of movie is static scene and static camera from one angle of recording. For me it was something what refresh my meaning about contact between movie as moving images and photograph as static image. Each frame is picture for self and everything what’ s happening is happening actually in determinate frame. In this one movie segment you can see symbolical representing ‘ sacrifice of youth’ .Movie is surrealistic masterpiece .
